130 Member Libraries Awarded We the People Bookshelf Grants
130 Alliance Library System Member Libraries were awarded Bookshelf Grants. The collection contains 17 classic hardcover books for young readers all conveying the "Created Equal" theme. Several titles focus on the life and writings of Abraham Lincoln. A bonus kit entitled, History in a Box on Abraham Lincoln," was included. This kit contains resource books, DVDs, interactive CD-ROM and posters, featuring primary souce documents, photographs, artwork, maps, songs and other teaching resources.
